Everett Schlawin

Oberlin College

As a sophomore at Oberlin College, I am pursuing a physics degree with the intention of eventually earning a PhD in astrophysics. My dream job is to work at an observatory high on a mountaintop, investigating billion-year old galaxies or examining earth-like planets within or own galaxy. I am an astronomy nerd to the 100th and love looking up a the night sky as well as burying my nose in the nearest possible book. .

I play a little jazz and classical music on the piano and play violin for the Oberlin Community Strings. My non-astronomy passion is running, something I've held up for 8 years. I run cross country and race the 5000m and 10000m in track. I'm also working on juggling 5 balls for more than a few seconds at a time.
